Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Luke Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ilja Magutanovicski!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yukihiro Shimada and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson connects with a single shot there.
It looks like Ilja Magutanovicski has been cut.
Jackson scores with a punch to the head.
Jackson looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Magutanovicski moves to clinch but Jackson breaks away
letting Jackson counter with a right hand.
A combination from Magutanovicski does no damage.
Magutanovicski is trying hard to land a takedown here. Jackson sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Good standup being displayed there by Jackson as he connects with a hook.
Magutanovicski closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Jackson scores with a jab to the head.
Magutanovicski fails with the takedown
and Jackson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jackson works the jab nicely.
Magutanovicski throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jackson's waist but Jackson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Magutanovicski off to one side.
Luke Jackson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ilja Magutanovicski.
Jackson connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Magutanovicski fails with the takedown
and Jackson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Magutanovicski takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Magutanovicski tries to clinch there but Jackson circles away.
Jackson cracks Magutanovicski with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Jackson has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Magutanovicski to stand back up!
Magutanovicski is rocked!
Jackson lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Magutanovicski falls backwards - clearly groggy! Jackson dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Luke Jackson!
