The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Bart Greer and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blanks cracks Pederson with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Pederson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Pederson fails with a takedown attempt.
Blanks rushes Pederson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Pederson keeps control of Blanks as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Blanks's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Pederson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pederson takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Blanks decides to stand back up. Blanks steps back and let's Pederson get back to his feet.
Pederson shoots in for a double leg but Blanks sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Pederson keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Blanks's efforts to push away.
