Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Vasile Vasla (ranked 5832 p4p, 498 weight class) and William McDougal (ranked 5175 p4p, 464 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Vasile Vasla! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 12 - 0, fighting out of London, William McDougal! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Albert Achterberg and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McDougal gets caught flat footed, as Vasla shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. McDougal wants to get back to his feet but Vasla passes into half guard.
Vasla tries to pass to full mount but McDougal defends it. Vasla is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. McDougal kicks Vasla off and gets back to his feet. William McDougal seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Vasla has McDougal up against the cage in a clinch.
McDougal has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Vasla uses from the top position. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! McDougal looking for a guillotine here but Vasla defends easily.

That's one minute gone in the round. Vasla wants to control from the top but McDougal keeps moving. Vasla not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Vasla tries to stand but McDougal is controlling from the bottom. McDougal wants to sweep but no luck. McDougal is looking to sweep but instead, Vasla has passed into half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. The fighters are battling for position here. McDougal manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Vasla tries to free his leg and advance position but McDougal is retaining full guard. McDougal working for submissions but it's allowed Vasla to get to half guard.

Vasla is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vasla wants to lay and pray for a moment but McDougal keeps working. Vasla prevents McDougal from improving his position. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Vasla is trying to control. McDougal wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. McDougal wants to slow Vasla down by chopping away at his legs. McDougal misses with a series of wild punches.
It looked like Vasla was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from McDougal. McDougal thuds a left hand into Vasla's body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Vasla gets caught napping as McDougal dives in and scores a takedown. Vasla manages to retain guard. McDougal wants to control from the top but Vasla keeps moving. Vasla trying to keep a closed guard but McDougal is proving a slippery customer.
Vasla looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but McDougal puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Vasla is trying to stand up here but McDougal is controlling him well. McDougal takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. McDougal not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. McDougal is trying to control. Vasla wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Vasla is trying to stand up here but McDougal is controlling him well. McDougal looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
William McDougal dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
McDougal misses with an attempted mid kick.
McDougal lands a nice leg kick that just misses Vasla's sensitive parts. McDougal gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Vasla to score an easy takedown into full guard. The fighters are working up against the cage. McDougal manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. McDougal tries to pull guard but Vasla won't allow it.
Vasla gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from McDougal.
McDougal has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Vasla manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. McDougal wants to pass the guard but Vasla is keeping the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Vasla wants to improve his position but instead McDougal has moved into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vasla is looking to control McDougal's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Vasla avoid being mounted? McDougal lands with a punch from half guard. McDougal sitting and controlling from the half guard. McDougal is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. McDougal wants to take a breather but Vasla is having none of it. McDougal tries to pass to full mount but Vasla defends it. McDougal decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Vasla shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. McDougal manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McDougal pushes Vasla off and scrambles back to his feet.
McDougal throws a right hand that Vasla ducks under and follows up with a left that Vasla also avoids with ease. McDougal drives through and clinches with Vasla against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vasla manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Vasla throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! McDougal escapes and throws Vasla's legs to the side, diving into side control! Vasla takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. McDougal is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. McDougal throws an elbow but Vasla slips to the side and avoids it well. McDougal working the body and head with strikes. Vasla trying to control but McDougal flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back! McDougal is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Vasla has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Vasla is really stuck here.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Vasla trying to control but not successfully. McDougal gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes. McDougal has managed to slip his arm under Vasla's chin. This could be all over... yep, Vasla is tapping out! Submission win for McDougal.
