Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Michael Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mads Nordskov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carter comes to the cage accompanied by Jazz Cartier - Dead or Alive. Nordskov comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Fugle kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mads Nordskov!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Chris Edwards and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nordskov keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Nordskov lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Carter scores with a punch to the head.
Carter dives in for a single leg takedown but Nordskov sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Nordskov is looking to score with low kicks.
We've been hearing reports that Carter has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

and Carter counters with a nice uppercut.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
