Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Steven Alves! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ryron Inthachack! The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Inthachack gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Alves is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Inthachack looking to control.
Alves tries to free his leg and advance position but Inthachack is retaining full guard. Alves sitting in guard here, content to control. Alves pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Inthachack is keeping the position for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Inthachack trying to keep a closed guard but Alves is proving a slippery customer.
Inthachack looking for a guillotine here but Alves defends easily.
Alves is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Inthachack striking off his back but it's not causing Alves any problems.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Alves drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Alves showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Alves postures up.
Inthachack looks gassed! Alves wants to pass the guard but Inthachack is keeping the position. Inthachack looking for a sweep. Not yet Inthachack, not yet. Alves is looking to advance position but Inthachack has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Alves controls the position. Alves tries to improve his position but instead Inthachack has taken his back! Alves is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Oooh a big shot gets through from Inthachack. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!

Alves rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Alves is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Inthachack jumps into side control! Inthachack wants to control but Alves is keeping him busy. Alves holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage. Alves is trying to work for a sweep but Inthachack has mounted him! Inthachack looking to control but Alves is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Alves shoots in looking for a takedown. Inthachack tries to sprawl out of it but Alves keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Inthachack manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Inthachack with a poor takedown and Alves decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Inthachack's guard. Alves is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Alves's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Alves tries to free his leg and advance position but Inthachack is retaining full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Inthachack is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Inthachack throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Inthachack decides to return to a standing position. Inthachack misses with a takedown attempt and Alves counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Alves. Alves controlling from the top position. Inthachack throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Alves slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Alves trying to control the position from guard on top but Inthachack is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Inthachack is trying to keep Alves in close.
Alves avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Steven Alves dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Inthachack throws a nice inside leg kick. Steven Alves is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Alves shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Inthachack trying to hold on to Alves's head to control him but Alves postures up.
Inthachack is positioning himself well to prevent Alves advancing to mount. Alves stalling. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Alves seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Inthachack for as long as he can get away with.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Steven Alves just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Inthachack shoots and misses and Alves counters with a takedown into side control. Inthachack regains half guard. Alves passes the guard and advances to mount! Alves controlling his opponent. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Alves trying to control but he's not successful this time. Inthachack tries to lock up and control but Alves gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Inthachack really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Alves tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Alves tries to push Inthachack's head away but Inthachack is holding on tight. Alves takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Inthachack working to try and regain half guard.

And that's the end of the fight! Steven Alves showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Alves, winning every round. Will the judges agree?
