Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rafael Galvao (ranked 2465 p4p, 324 weight class) and Yuriy Khovanskiy (ranked 7630 p4p, 709 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Galvao might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Kodaline - All I Want. Khovanskiy has chosen Batya v zdanii as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Galvao tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Khovanskiy defends well and Galvao ends up having to push Khovanskiy into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Khovanskiy throws a head kick that misses.
Galvao appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Khovanskiy has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Galvao is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Khovanskiy tries to sprawl but Galvao drives through with a takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
