Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Luigi Bates (ranked 2481 p4p, 373 weight class) and Dakota Martin (ranked 3724 p4p, 516 weight class). Dakota Martin has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

I was talking to Bates's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Martin is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Bates is keeping busy.

Bates turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Bates manages to end up in side control.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Bates is looking to take a break and control but Martin is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Bates swings around for an armbar but Martin sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Bates's guard.
Bates manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Martin manages to get himself to full guard.

Dakota Martin comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
