The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lemieux gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Lemieux keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Hardin's efforts to push away.
Lemieux is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Hardin jumps guard but Lemieux turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Hardin tries to pull guard but Lemieux holds him up against the cage and eventually Hardin drops back down to his feet.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lemieux wants to stand but Hardin is controlling the position.
Hardin connects with a couple of short punches.
Lemieux is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Lemieux throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Hardin controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Lemieux is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Hardin lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Hardin's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hardin keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Lemieux's head.

Hardin drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hardin jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Hardin is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Hardin lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Lemieux not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Hardin lands a couple of digs.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hardin postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Hardin is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Lemieux should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Hardin stays in close to Lemieux's body and controls the position.
Hardin is working Lemieux over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Lemieux tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Lemieux has momentary wrist control but Hardin slips an elbow through the middle.
Hardin cracks Lemieux with a solid left hand.
Hardin working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Lemieux's head.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lemieux can do anything to dispel that myth.

Hardin distracts Lemieux with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Hardin drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Hardin as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Lemieux screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Hardin! Nice submission victory there!
