Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gajsn Poba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Skip Runkles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Gajsn Poba! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Skip Runkles! The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Eliza Hachem and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Poba scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Runkles throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Runkles scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
It looks like Gajsn Poba has been cut. Runkles swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Poba counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Runkles! Runkles explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Poba tries to clinch but Runkles is having none of it. Poba clinches. Runkles has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Runkles tries to break free but Poba pushes him back against the cage. Runkles lands a hook that snaps the head of Poba backwards. Runkles stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Poba keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Runkles's efforts to push away. Poba tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Poba drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Runkles gets the underhooks and prevents it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Runkles lands a nice uppercut. Poba tries to pull guard but Runkles won't allow it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gajsn Poba. That's going to take a lot out of him. Runkles escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Poba looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Poba not doing much here.
Poba not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Poba working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Poba controlling the action here. Poba stops Runkles from getting back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Runkles misses with a combination
so Poba counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Poba might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Poba makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Poba controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Runkles wants to stand up but Poba is controlling him. Poba slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Poba drops back looking for a leg! Runkles is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Runkles manages to kick Poba off! Poba jumps back into Runkles's guard. Poba loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Poba content to stall in guard here.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Poba tries to clinch but Runkles is having none of it. Poba misses with a takedown attempt - Runkles sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. The fighters circle momentarily. Runkles darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Runkles moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Runkles swats away the attempt to clinch by Poba. Runkles stuffs the takedown attempt from Poba. Poba gets slowly back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Skip Runkles dominated that round. The cut man is working on Gajsn Poba's cut. That's time! Back to the action!
Oooooh!!! Runkles has knocked Poba down with a huge combo! Runkles steps away and waves a wobbly Poba back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Poba is rocked! Runkles connects with a stiff jab that staggers Poba - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:13 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Skip Runkles!
