The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bright accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Bright drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Klose dives on top into guard.

Bright has momentary wrist control but Klose slips an elbow through the middle.
Bright really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Bright drops back, looking for a kneebar! Klose looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Klose looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Klose!
Klose goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Bright has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Klose but great work by Bright.

Bright is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Bright has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Klose is working away from the top position though.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
