Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Greg Bell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricky Hughes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ricky Hughes will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Greg Bell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ricky Hughes! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hughes plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Hughes scores with a head kick. Bell tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Hughes scores with a one two! Bell had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Bell has closed the distance and engaged Hughes in a clinch.
Bell blocks the elbow strike.
Hughes is trying to force a seperation but Bell has the dominant position. Hughes has a couple of punches blocked by Bell.
Hughes breaks from the clinch.
Hughes wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Hughes scores with a decent looking hook. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hughes tests Bell's chin there with a solid looking shot. Bell definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Hughes lands with a shot to the body. Bell misses with a body shot
and Hughes counters with a nice uppercut. Bell moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bell throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Hughes lands a nice shot to the body.
Hughes lands with an overhand left. Bell misses with a takedown attempt and Hughes counters with a left to the body. Bell is breathing heavily. Hughes connects with a good right hand that stumbles Bell. Bell circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Hughes cracks Bell with a big right hand and Bell goes down! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hughes with a flurry of punches that miss. Hughes tries to free his leg and advance position but Bell is retaining full guard. Hughes throws a big elbow that misses. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hughes connects with a couple of short punches. Hughes wants to stand but Bell has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Bell might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Hughes wants to control from the top but Bell keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hughes stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bell swivels though and keeps the full guard. Hughes slips nicely into half guard. Hughes not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Hughes sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Bell defending well though. Hughes throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hughes seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Hughes thows a huge punch but Bell dodges it nicely.
Hughes working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Hughes stands up and beckons Bell to join him on the feet. Hughes looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Bell shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Hughes cracks Bell with an open hand slap. Hughes moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. That kick from Hughes tenderised Bell's leg. Bell is trying to keep his angry face on. Hughes throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Bell stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Bell takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Bell gets cracked there but stands up to it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hughes lands a jab to the head.
Hughes tests Bell's chin there with a solid looking shot. A head kick lands from Hughes that sends Bell to the canvas. Bell tries to scramble back to his feet but Hughes brings him back down into side control.
Bell is rocked!
It looks like Greg Bell has been cut. Hughes is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Bell is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Hughes stands up and we're back to a striking position. Hughes scores with a head kick. Bell tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Nice uppercut there from Hughes. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Hughes!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ricky Hughes dominated that round. The cut man is working on Greg Bell's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Bell walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. A right-left combo lands from Hughes. Hughes throws a good cross that connects.
Hughes connects with a body shot. Hughes lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Bell sprawling to the canvas. Hughes follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Bell hang on? Oh Bell is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Bell is holding on to half guard well. Bell seems to have got his legs back now. Hughes not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Hughes not landing any meaningful shots this time. Hughes is trying to control. Bell wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Bell is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Hughes has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bell is refusing to be controlled, as Hughes sits in half guard. Hughes is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Bell is looking for a sweep. Hughes is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Hughes stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Bell to get to his feet. Hughes scores with a jab. Bell acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Hughes lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Nice uppercut lands for Hughes. That snapped Bell's head back.
Hughes is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Hughes connects with a solid leg kick. Hughes connects with a high kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hughes drops Bell with a left and a right! Oh, Bell is hurt - Hughes dives into side control looking to finish!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Bell is trying to control Hughes's posture but Hughes avoids it. Hughes decides to stand up, so the ref orders Bell to his feet. Hughes scores with the left hand. Bell knows he should have avoided that one. Ricky Hughes seems to be getting the better of the standup. Hughes drops his shoulder and cracks Bell with a huge uppercut! Bell goes down! Can Hughes finish him?
Hughes wanted to stand there but Bell had control of the position. Hughes trying to control the position from guard on top but Bell is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hughes with a flurry of punches that miss.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hughes wants to control from the top but Bell keeps moving. Hughes landing with the ground and pound. Bell looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Hughes really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bell. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Hughes is pushing down on Bell's leg trying to pass to half guard. Bell is fighting to maintain full guard but Hughes has managed to sneak the leg through. Hughes wants to stand but Bell has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Hughes trying to control from half guard but Bell is working away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Hughes seems to be working for a kimura but Bell defends the submission attempt. Bell is positioning himself well to prevent Hughes advancing to mount. Hughes tries to pass the half guard into mount. Bell knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Hughes throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Bell. Hughes slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Hughes sets himself and throws a head kick that knocks Bell to the ground! Hughes dives into full mount looking to finish! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ricky Hughes showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Greg Bell's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Hughes with a nice cross. Bell looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Bell rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Hughes counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Hughes! Bell is out on his feet! Hughes rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Bell is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Bell is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
