Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gabe Christianson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Katuro Tisoaka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tisoaka has chosen Festivo as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 40 - 15 - 2, fighting out of Tokyo, Gabe Christianson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Katuro Tisoaka!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Shirou Masuda and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tisoaka looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Tisoaka content to control rather than advance.
Christianson is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Tisoaka's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Tisoaka's back!
I really don't envy Tisoaka right now.

What can Tisoaka do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Tisoaka closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Christianson wants to get back to full guard but Tisoaka has mounted him!

Tisoaka shoots for a takedown but Christianson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Christianson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Tisoaka working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Tisoaka uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Christianson.

Tisoaka gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Christianson counters with a flying knee that drops Tisoaka! Christianson dives in and finishes the fight with a flurry of strikes from the mount!

Gabe Christianson seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
Katuro Tisoaka spoke after the fight, saying 'I fall but RIZE again!!!!!!'.
