Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gale Ross! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Baby Killer! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Paulo Santos and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ross tries a head kick but it misses.
Ross fails with the takedown and Killer counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Killer fails in his attempt to clinch. Killer tries a head kick but it misses.
Killer drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Killer prevents Ross from getting back to his feet. Ross really is built like a bowling ball. I wonder if he'd roll if you pushed him down a hill... We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Killer trying to control the position from guard on top but Ross is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Ross wants to stand but Killer is controlling the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Ross shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Killer but Killer pushes him off and we're back to square one. Killer steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Ross. Sloppy strikes from Ross. Those never looked like landing. Killer gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Killer prevents a takedown attempt there.

Ross is nestled in close to Killer, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Ross really is a fat lump. Killer is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Ross's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Ross's back! Ross wants to get back to his feet. Killer is looking for the choke from the back position but Ross is controlling his hands well. Ross is trying escape back to his feet. He turns into his opponent's guard and eventually finds his way back to his feet. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Killer is defended easily by Ross. Killer closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ross circles away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Killer with a lazy takedown attempt and Ross counters with a left to the body. Killer looks winded! Killer fails with the takedown and Ross counters with a three punch combo that has Killer backing up. Killer nods at Ross to acknowledge the strikes. Ross fails with a takedown attempt. Baby Killer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ross fails with a takedown attempt. Ross shoots in and gets a takedown into Killer's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ross controlling from the top position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Killer isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Ross stacks Killer on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Ross! Ross working away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Gale Ross will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Horrible takedown attempt by Killer or perhaps it was just good defense by Ross, which made it look bad. Killer fails to land the takedown. Killer is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Killer throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Ross gets tackled into the cage by Killer. Killer maintains the clinch. Ross tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Killer just stands there and leans against the cage. Ross has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Killer is trying to keep an underhook but Ross manages to get the takedown into half guard. Killer is trying to escape back to his feet but Ross uses the scramble to pass into side control.

That's one minute gone in the round. Killer trying to control but Ross flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back! Killer wants to get back to his feet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ross trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Killer doesn't escape. Ross keeps control of the position as Killer tries to break free.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Ross controls the position. Killer looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. Ross keeps control of the position easily here as Killer tries to buck him off.

Killer tries to escape but Ross has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Ross keeps control of the position easily here as Killer tries to buck him off.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gale Ross dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Excellent takedown into side control there by Ross. A lull in the action here as Ross stalls from top position. Ross decides to stand back up. Ross steps back and let's Killer get back to his feet. Well, if Ross is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Ross controlling the position easily from mount. Ross's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Ross looking for the RNC. Ross really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Killer. Gale Ross overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Ross working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.
And that's the end of the fight! Gale Ross showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ross, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
