Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 1, fighting out of London, Josiah Roman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Benjamin Mg Rathenson! The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Andrew Berry and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Roman tries to close the distance and clinch but Mg Rathenson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Roman shoots and misses and Mg Rathenson counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Roman doesn't succeed with the takedown enabling Mg Rathenson to counter with a crisp jab. Roman tries to bum rush Mg Rathenson with a series of wild strikes but Mg Rathenson uses good footwork to avoid the assault. It seemed like Mg Rathenson was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Roman rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Mg Rathenson counters with a stiff right hand. Roman shoots in looking for a takedown. Mg Rathenson tries to sprawl out of it but Roman keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mg Rathenson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Mg Rathenson looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Josiah Roman. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Roman gets in close and instigates a clinch. Mg Rathenson tries to circle away but Roman has him pinned against the cage. Roman can't find room to land a body shot as Mg Rathenson controls the action.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Mg Rathenson has had enough of the clinch but Roman keeps him there for the moment. Roman really is a fat lump. Roman's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Roman moves to clinch but Mg Rathenson breaks away enabling Mg Rathenson to counter with a crisp jab.
It looks like Josiah Roman has been cut. Mg Rathenson staying out of range there. Roman fails to land the takedown. Mg Rathenson looks like he wants to counter punch here. Roman tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mg Rathenson swats him away and circles back towards the center.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Roman is looking to clinch but Mg Rathenson is avoiding it.
Roman with a lazy takedown attempt enabling Mg Rathenson to counter with a crisp jab. Roman throws a shot from downtown. Mg Rathenson moves away and avoids it. Roman closes the distance but Mg Rathenson moves to the side and Mg Rathenson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Roman cracks Mg Rathenson with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Roman takes a swing at Mg Rathenson's ribcage but misses. It seemed like Mg Rathenson was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Roman tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Mg Rathenson steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Roman. Roman dives in for a single leg takedown but Mg Rathenson sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Roman misses with the body kick and Mg Rathenson counters with a nice uppercut. Roman misses with a takedown and Mg Rathenson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Roman is breathing heavily. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Roman throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Mg Rathenson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Roman is rocked! Roman tries for a takedown but Mg Rathenson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Roman lands with an overhand left. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Benjamin Mg Rathenson dominated that round. The cut man is working on Josiah Roman's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Roman tries to clinch up and Mg Rathenson counters with a crisp right that sends Roman to the canvas! Mg Rathenson follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Benjamin Mg Rathenson!
