38 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ron Burgundy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
22 - 17 - 4, fighting out of Montreal, Steve Pick! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Elvis Blanc and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pick ducks under a wild hook from Burgundy. Burgundy blocks a jab. An attempted straight right counter from Burgundy misses the target. Burgundy scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
It looks like Steve Pick has been cut. Pick tries to bum rush Burgundy with a series of wild strikes but Burgundy uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Pick dips to his left and cracks Burgundy with an uppercut! Burgundy throws a jab when Pick was well out of range. Pick wants to clinch up but Burgundy keeps it at a distance. Burgundy misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Burgundy looks to score with a jab to the body but Pick is just out of range. Burgundy throws a poor cross that misses
and Pick counters with a nice uppercut. Pick fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Burgundy, pushing him back against the cage. Pick stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Burgundy breaks the clinch.
Burgundy throws an overhand right that lands on Pick's shoulder, as Pick tries to avoid the shot. Pick misses with a few strikes there.
Pick fails in his attempt to clinch. Pick looks to land a left hand but Burgundy moved out of range nicely. Pick looks to land a right hand but Burgundy moved out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Burgundy punishes Pick's body with a nice straight punch. Burgundy throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Pick is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Pick throws a looping overhand right but Burgundy ducks down to avoid it. Nice uppercut there from Burgundy. Burgundy throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Burgundy throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Burgundy scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Pick connects with a body shot. Pick throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Burgundy was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. A head kick misses from Burgundy. Burgundy throws a front kick aimed at Pick's knee but Pick avoids it well. Burgundy lands with an uppercut that bounces Pick off the cage and back into range. Burgundy thumps Pick with a low kick. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Pick dips to his left and cracks Burgundy with an uppercut! Pick forces Burgundy back against the cage and clinches. Pick scores with a nice hook to the head. A head punch blocked on the inside by Burgundy. Burgundy pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Burgundy misses with a wild body shot. Burgundy connects with a looping right hand.
That has opened up Steve Pick's cut even more. Ron Burgundy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Burgundy defending well as Pick loads up on a big left hand. Burgundy appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Pick takes a swing at Burgundy's ribcage but misses. Burgundy throws a low kick but Pick moves out of range easily. Pick thows a left - swing and a miss! Pick has Burgundy up against the cage in a clinch.
A short uppercut from Pick. Burgundy blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Pick swings wildly with an uppercut but Burgundy uses good head movement to avoid it. Burgundy throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Pick misses with a punch to the body.
Pick misses with the head strike.

Pick tries to throw a body punch but Burgundy avoids it by throwing Pick back against the cage. Burgundy breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Burgundy jabbing away but nothing is landing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pick ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Burgundy misses with a two punch combination.
Burgundy swats away the attempt to clinch by Pick. Burgundy lands a lovely overhand right. Pick looks to land a left hand but Burgundy moved out of range nicely. Pick displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Burgundy throws out the jab. Burgundy misses with a lunging right hand
and Burgundy takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Pick throws a right hand that Burgundy ducks under and follows up with a left that Burgundy also avoids with ease. Burgundy lands with an overhand left.
The cut above Steve Pick's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Pick blocks a head kick by Burgundy.
Nice straight punches there by Burgundy. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Burgundy. Burgundy keeps the fight on the outside. Burgundy swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Pick takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Pick slips under a jab. Pick might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Pick ducks under a wild hook from Burgundy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Burgundy takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Pick lands a jab to Burgundy's midsection. Burgundy lands with a nice combination. Pick backs away looking to recover.
Steve Pick's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters. Pick tries to clinch up. Pick tries to clinch up but Burgundy circles away and keeps his distance. Pick connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Burgundy pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Pick looks like he wants to counter punch here. Burgundy scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Steve Pick's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Ron Burgundy! Ron Burgundy very nearly forgot to thank Spartan Nutrition amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you. Steve Pick was interviewed post fight and said 'Next time I will beat this weirdo'.
