Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Judson Booth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenny Conlin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kenny Conlin!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Eddie Farnsworth and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Booth tries to clinch but Conlin moves out of range.
Booth tries to clinch up but Conlin circles away and keeps his distance.
A little jabbing left from Conlin on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Booth tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Conlin manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Booth tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Conlin connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

and Conlin counters with a straight right hand.
Booth wants to clinch up but Conlin keeps it at a distance.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Conlin pushes Booth up against the cage in a clinch.
Conlin tries to break the clinch but Booth is controlling the position.
Booth could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Conlin has had enough of the clinch but Booth keeps him there for the moment.

A frustrated look appears on Conlin's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Conlin pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Conlin prevents Booth from breaking the clinch.

Conlin pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Booth takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Booth moves to clinch but Conlin breaks away
and Conlin counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Conlin cracks a nice hook into Booth's ribs.
Conlin is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

and Conlin cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Booth with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Conlin to score with a decent uppercut.

and Conlin counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.


It looks like Judson Booth has been cut.
Conlin uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Booth has time to react.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Conlin's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Conlin clinches up with Booth and pushes him back against the cage.
Conlin blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Conlin breaks the clinch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Conlin comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Conlin has closed the distance and engaged Booth in a clinch.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Conlin. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Conlin is looking to break free of the clinch but Booth has double underhooks.

Booth manages to break the clinch.
Conlin misses with a looping left.
Conlin is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

and Conlin counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Booth tries to close the distance and clinch but Conlin swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Conlin pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Booth back to the cage. Conlin follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Nice straight punches there by Conlin. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Conlin.
Conlin thuds his right hand into Booth's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Booth tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Conlin manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Booth fails with an attempt to clinch.
Conlin ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Booth moves away.
Booth ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Conlin misses with a hook.
Conlin fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Booth slips a straight right by Conlin.
Conlin connects with a single shot there.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Booth doesn't manage to clinch there - Conlin circles away.
Conlin loads up on a big right hand but Booth slips the punch.
Conlin has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.
Booth tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Conlin counters with a straight right hand.
Booth tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Conlin counters with a straight right hand.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Conlin cracks Booth with a right hand to the side of the head.


Booth is rocked!
Conlin circles away from the clinch attempt
and Conlin counters with a deadly accurate combination that rocks Booth badly! He tries to strike back but Conlin puts an end to that with another precision combo that knocks Booth out cold! Oh man, Booth will never hear the end of this one!
