Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kev Wooten (ranked 3223 p4p, 318 weight class) and Luiz Diaz (ranked 2122 p4p, 229 weight class). Wooten comes to the cage accompanied by Gods gonna cut you down- Johnny Cash. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kev Wooten! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Luiz Diaz! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Hirohito Nitta and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wooten throws a lazy head kick and Diaz cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Wooten throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Diaz sees it coming and avoids it easily. Diaz throws a counter combo. Wooten bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Wooten swings widly with a right hand
and Wooten takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Diaz fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Wooten to the ground. Diaz is now in Wooten's guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Diaz sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Wooten's guard. Wooten pushes Diaz off looking to stand but Diaz dives back in and keeps control.
Diaz not landing any meaningful shots this time. Wooten wants to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Diaz is working for a submission of some sort.
Wooten looks like he's trying to stand up.
Wooten trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Wooten on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Wooten is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at English Top Team - THE Hybrid Gym (11 ELITE ), so we'll see if he gets out of it. Diaz prevents Wooten from standing back up.
Diaz is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Wooten doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Diaz. Diaz winds up and cracks Wooten with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Diaz seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Wooten does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Wooten wants to get back to his feet. Diaz seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Wooten has one foot on Diaz's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. A punch lands to the side of Diaz 's head but he takes it in his stride. Wooten throws a lazy uppercut
and Diaz counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Diaz shoots in for a takedown but Wooten shows good takedown defense. Wooten lands a nice shot to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Horrible takedown attempt by Diaz or perhaps it was just good defense by Wooten, which made it look bad. Diaz shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Wooten counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
It looks like Luiz Diaz has been cut. Kev Wooten has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Luiz Diaz. Wooten lands a right hook to the body.
Wooten throws a body punch but Diaz moves out of range. Diaz is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Wooten with a body shot.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Diaz is trying hard to land a takedown here. Wooten sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Wooten is looking to counter with a body kick. Diaz tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Wooten swivels and escapes. Donk. Wooten catches Diaz right on the button with a cross. Diaz uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Wooten. Wooten lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Diaz is rocked! Wooten throws a series of punches but Diaz moves out of range. Diaz swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Diaz is still on wobbly legs! Can Wooten finish him? Diaz dives in for a single leg takedown but Wooten sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. As Diaz looks to move away, Wooten throws a big counter combo but Diaz just gets out of the way. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kev Wooten dominated that round. The cut man is working on Luiz Diaz's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Wooten throws a shot from downtown. Diaz moves away and avoids it. Diaz seems to have recovered his senses. Wooten throws a body shot but no joy. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Diaz is defended easily by Wooten. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wooten looks to land a combination but Diaz avoids it well. No joy there for Wooten, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
That's one minute gone in the round. Diaz uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Wooten. A left lands for Wooten. Wooten throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Diaz is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Wooten with a body shot. Wooten looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Diaz shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Diaz thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Diaz is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Wooten sees it coming and defends easily. Wooten pushes Diaz off looking to stand but Diaz dives back in and keeps control.
Diaz lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Diaz working the head and body with strikes. Diaz is looking to advance position but Wooten won't allow it. Diaz is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Wooten makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Diaz doesn't succeed with the takedown and Wooten connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Diaz doesn't succeed with the takedown enabling Wooten to counter with a crisp jab. Kev Wooten has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Luiz Diaz. A low kick from Wooten is predictable there and Wooten takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Diaz shoots in and gets a takedown into Wooten's guard. Wooten is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Diaz presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. Wooten breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Diaz gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Diaz tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Wooten is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Diaz buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Diaz!! Diaz is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Wooten throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kev Wooten! Kev Wooten decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
