Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Buck Brown (ranked 645 p4p, 86 weight class) and Earl Jeffries (ranked 1614 p4p, 213 weight class). Brown comes to the cage accompanied by Cannibal Corpes - Hammer smashed face. Earl Jeffries acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Buck Brown!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Earl Jeffries !
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Nard Betker and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jeffries takes a swing at Brown's ribcage but misses.
Brown throws a hook but Jeffries avoids it easily.
Brown shoots in for a takedown but Jeffries shows good takedown defense.

Brown bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Jeffries wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Brown fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Brown throws a strike aimed at the side of Jeffries 's head but Jeffries avoids it well.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jeffries can do anything to dispel that myth.

Brown tries for a kimura but Jeffries is defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jeffries pushes Brown away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Brown gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Brown fails to land a wild elbow strike.

Brown tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Brown has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Brown sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Jeffries is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Brown is trying to ground and pound but Jeffries uses the momentary lack of control by Brown to regain half guard.
Brown passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Jeffries !
Brown unloads with some shots from mount but Jeffries bucks and avoids them well.

Jeffries is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Brown moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Jeffries has worked his arm free - good work by Jeffries !

Brown is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Jeffries is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Brown wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Jeffries , who protects the arm well.

Brown working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Jeffries really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brown. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Brown controls the position from side control.

Jeffries is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Brown is controlling him well.
Brown wants to control for a moment but Jeffries uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.
Brown throwing shots but Jeffries is blocking nicely.
Jeffries won't allow Brown to pass to mount.
Jeffries felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Brown is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Brown wants to take a breather but Jeffries is having none of it.
Brown throws a strike but Jeffries avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Jeffries is looking to stand up but Brown isn't so interested in that idea.
Brown trying to control the position from guard on top but Jeffries is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Brown prevents Jeffries from getting back to his feet.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
The fighters circling - Brown throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Brown fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Buck Brown dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Brown has his takedown stuffed
and Jeffries counters with a nice uppercut.
Jeffries stuffs the takedown.
Brown fails with the takedown.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Jeffries ! But no joy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Buck Brown. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jeffries wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Brown fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Brown shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jeffries as he jumps to the side.

and Jeffries counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Brown avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Jeffries loads up on a big right hand but Brown slips the punch.
Brown connects with a jab.
Brown misses with a body punch
and Jeffries counters with a nice uppercut.
Buck Brown seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Brown doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Jeffries cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Brown tries for a takedown but Jeffries circles away easily
enabling Jeffries to counter with a crisp jab.
Earl Jeffries is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Horrible takedown attempt by Brown or perhaps it was just good defense by Jeffries , which made it look bad.

Brown shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Brown ducks under a wild hook from Jeffries .
Jeffries drops Brown with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Brown! Jeffries dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:11 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Earl Jeffries !
