Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Oliver Ramirez (ranked 2913 p4p, 153 weight class) and Byron Tipton (ranked 2680 p4p, 142 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Oliver Ramirez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Byron Tipton! The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, David Schapiro and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tipton is looking to clinch but Ramirez is avoiding it.
Tipton tries for a takedown but Ramirez sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Ramirez closes this distance looking for a takedown but Tipton circles away. Ramirez fails with a takedown attempt. Ramirez tries to keep at a distance but Tipton has taken the fight into the clinch. Tipton's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sloppy strikes from Ramirez. Those never looked like landing. Ramirez throws a body punch but Tipton moves out of range. Oliver Ramirez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tipton shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ramirez as he avoids it easily. Tipton drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tipton grinds an elbow into Ramirez's temple. Tipton throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Ramirez is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet. Ramirez tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck. Tipton has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Ramirez is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Tipton misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Tipton has hold of Ramirez's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Ramirez manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Ramirez keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ramirez in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Tipton trying to control but he's not successful this time. Tipton punishing his opponent with strikes. Ramirez is trying to escape the mount.
Ramirez is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Ramirez is in a horrible position here. Tipton smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Tipton won't let Ramirez get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Tipton fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ramirez can't escape the position.
Tipton landing strikes from the mount and Ramirez is in trouble! Ramirez wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Tipton.
Ramirez's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Tipton misses with a head shot.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ramirez tries to improve his position but Tipton has taken his back! Tipton has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Ramirez tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Tipton pushes Ramirez away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Byron Tipton! An intense looking Byron Tipton took to the microphone post fight and gave a little speech: 'ITS MY TIME BABY! I WANT THAT F***ING BELT '.
