Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Umberto Picciluna (ranked 3157 p4p, 444 weight class) and Dany Crosby (ranked 6295 p4p, 740 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crosby misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Umberto Picciluna seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Crosby uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Picciluna.
Picciluna lands a two punch combo.
Crosby rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Picciluna moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

and Crosby counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Picciluna!
Picciluna is trying to improve his position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Picciluna regains half guard.
Picciluna is refusing to be controlled, as Crosby sits in half guard.
Picciluna makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Picciluna.
Crosby wants to control from the top but Picciluna keeps moving.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Picciluna manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Crosby manages to get himself to full guard.

Picciluna slips nicely into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Picciluna works his foot free and advances to mount.
Crosby wants to hold on but Picciluna pushes him away.
Picciluna in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Crosby really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Picciluna. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
BOOM! Picciluna connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Picciluna has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Picciluna is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Picciluna postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Crosby looks a forlorn figure.

Crosby is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A big strike lands for Picciluna! That's really hurt Crosby and he's turned his back - Picciluna keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Picciluna jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
