Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ryan Riggs!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Marv Ellis!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Ben Zyskovitsi and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ellis slips under a jab from Riggs.
Good work by Riggs as he checks the leg kick.
Riggs appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Ellis swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Riggs throws a right and a left that Ellis avoids nicely.

Ellis clinches up against the cage.

Ellis breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Riggs avoids the head kick by Ellis.

Riggs scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Ellis is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Riggs scores with a couple of nice shots.
Ellis is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
We've been hearing that Riggs has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Ellis looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Riggs working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Riggs is nestled in close to Ellis, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Riggs working over Ellis with some ground and pound. Ellis looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Riggs lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Riggs looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Ellis with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Riggs is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Ellis is hurt! He's hurt bad - Riggs fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Ellis from any more punishment! Congratulations to Riggs! Great finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ryan Riggs!
