Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Randall Couture (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randy Landy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Robert Twigg and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Landy gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Landy tries to throw a body punch but Couture avoids it by throwing Landy back against the cage.
Landy tries to work over Couture's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Landy tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Landy lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Couture is trying to trip Landy. He has hold of a leg but Landy is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Couture persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Couture trying to control but Landy is working from the bottom.
Landy preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Couture throws a big elbow that misses.
Couture trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Couture could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Landy pulls Couture in close to his closed guard and prevents Couture from doing any damage or advancing position.
Landy wants to hit a switch here but Couture passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Landy there!
Couture throws some wild stikes that Landy manages to avoid easily.

Couture unloads with some shots from mount but Landy bucks and avoids them well.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Couture accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Randall Couture overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Couture jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Landy walks away with a smile on his face. Couture gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
