Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Jeromy Noble! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Coner Maygregor! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Glass and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Noble shoots in for a takedown but Maygregor shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Maygregor goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Maygregor throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Noble sees it coming and avoids it easily. Noble changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Maygregor swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Noble counters with a left and a right that stings Maygregor. Noble moves out of range of the body kick. Noble takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Maygregor bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Noble's head backwards. Noble takes one on the button. Maygregor throws a leg kick that is checked and Noble counters with a nice double leg into side control. Maygregor won't be happy with that. Maygregor throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Maygregor throws a left and a right that both miss
and Noble counters with a shoot takedown. Maygregor fights it but they end up in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Noble throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Maygregor works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Maygregor trying to keep a closed guard but Noble is proving a slippery customer.
Maygregor working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Noble. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Noble with a nice head shot there. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Maygregor can do anything to dispel that myth. Maygregor pulls Noble in close to prevent any damage. Noble distracts Maygregor with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Noble controlling from the top position. Maygregor is trying to control the position but Noble postures up. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Noble's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Maygregor has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Noble has passed into side control.
Noble in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Maygregor is being controlled here. Noble landing a few strikes. Maygregor takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Noble is staying tight to Maygregor's torso, preventing him from escaping. Maygregor is looking for a sweep. Noble lands a nice forearm strike. Maygregor is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Noble is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Maygregor looks winded! Noble pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Noble lands a couple of good shots and Maygregor has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Noble throwing damaging strikes from the back! Maygregor could be in trouble here!
Noble is working the ground and pound. Can Maygregor escape? Noble scores with punches and elbows. Noble lands punches and elbows. We've been informed that Maygregor has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Noble cracks Maygregor with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Maygregor from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.

Maygregor is rocked! Noble gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes. Maygregor is still in real trouble! Can Noble finish him? Noble is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Maygregor trying to control but not successfully. Noble connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Maygregor to escape the position.
Noble is loading up with his shots from the back and Maygregor is in big trouble! Maygregor taps out to strikes and the fight is over!
