Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Max Palluch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Burnett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dan Burnett is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Max Palluch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dan Burnett!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burnett fails with an attempt to clinch.

Palluch drives through with a takedown into guard.
Palluch prevents Burnett from getting back to his feet.

Burnett is defending against the submission attempts here by Palluch.

Palluch is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Palluch stands up and beckons Burnett to join him on the feet.
Burnett dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Palluch. That did some damage!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Burnett tries to close the distance and clinch up but Palluch swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Palluch drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Burnett dives on top into guard.
Palluch is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Burnett is controlling him.

Palluch is working an open guard so Burnett takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Burnett walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Palluch checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Dan Burnett is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Burnett tries to clinch but Palluch is having none of it.

Burnett creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Palluch jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Burnett walks away with a smile on his face. Palluch gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Palluch decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Burnett is trying to stand up here but Palluch is controlling him well.

Palluch wants to work for an arm triangle but Burnett is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Burnett looks like he's trying to stand up.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Palluch is tying to control. Burnett wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Palluch has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Palluch closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Burnett to the mat! Burnett manages to get full guard.

Burnett pushes Palluch off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Burnett cracks Palluch with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Burnett pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Burnett scores with a crisp jab that stopped Palluch in his tracks.

Burnett throws a head kick but Palluch moves out of range.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The fight stays on the outside here - Palluch looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Burnett does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Burnett throws a body kick that misses.
Burnett tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Palluch paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Palluch shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Palluch showed some decent athleticism there.
Burnett is in trouble now - Palluch has advanced to mount!

Palluch jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Burnett is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Burnett and Palluch has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Burnett is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Palluch is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Palluch is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
