The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nigouera with a poor takedown
and Koniu counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Good leg kick by Koniu there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Jab, jab by Koniu - just one landing.
Nigouera tries for a takedown but Koniu circles away easily
and Koniu connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Koniu throws a good cross that connects.
Nigouera is rocked!
Nigouera switches off momentarily and Koniu cracks him with a monster right hand! Nigouera topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Koniu dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Koniu!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Japa Koniu!
