Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Powers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Rounder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Carlos Powers! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Dave Rounder! The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Paul Gruel and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rounder looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Powers! Powers explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! Powers moves in looking to clinch but Rounder pushes him off. Rounder dives in and scores a takedown into Powers's guard. Powers pushes Rounder off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. This has been an exciting period of action! Rounder pushes Powers up against the cage in a clinch. Rounder with a knee to the head.
It looks like Carlos Powers has been cut. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Powers has had enough of the clinch but Rounder keeps him there for the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Powers is trying to force a seperation but Rounder has the dominant position. Powers looking to slow down the pace here. Rounder breaks the clinch.
Rounder decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Powers on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Powers regains full guard. Nicely done. Rounder seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Rounder trying to control the position from guard on top but Powers is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Powers being controlled here, momentarily. Rounder slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Powers. Rounder is taking a breather. Powers says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Rounder's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rounder is looking to stall here but Powers recovers full guard. Rounder wants to control from the top but Powers keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Rounder stays in close to Powers's body and controls the position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Rounder scores with a shot to the body.
Rounder is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Powers's half guard. Powers scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Rounder manages to mount him!
A nice elbow there by Rounder. Rounder can't control as he wanted to and Powers manages to get the fight back to his half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dave Rounder dominated that round. The cut man is working on Carlos Powers's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Rounder darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Rounder wants to lay and pray for a moment but Powers keeps working. Rounder seems to be looking for submissions.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rounder stands up and beckons Powers to join him on the feet. Rounder closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Powers's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rounder throwing strikes from guard but Powers blocks nicely. Rounder is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Powers is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Powers has escaped and now he's on top!
Powers has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Rounder punching from the bottom - just letting Powers know he's still in a fight. Powers drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Rounder dives on top into guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Powers can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Rounder controls the pace. Rounder preventing the sweep. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Powers is working an open guard so Rounder takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Rounder shoots in and gets a takedown into Powers's guard. Rounder not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Rounder has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Rounder pushes down on Powers's leg and manages to get into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Powers on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Rounder sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Powers defending well though. Powers wants to get back to full guard. Rounder keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Rounder is stalling here. Powers is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Rounder seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Powers has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Powers is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Rounder knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Rounder sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rounder works his way to full guard. Good work. Rounder is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Rounder seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Powers is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
