PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Bastyn Dall (ranked 648 p4p, 39 weight class) and Kzszcziski Mazcsakhs (ranked 826 p4p, 46 weight class). Dall comes to the cage accompanied by Beast. Mazcsakhs comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Tupac - Me and My Girlfriend kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 16 - 1, fighting out of New York, Bastyn Dall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 32 - 18 - 2, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kzszcziski Mazcsakhs!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mazcsakhs cracks Dall with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Dall checks a leg kick nicely.
Mazcsakhs avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Kzszcziski Mazcsakhs seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mazcsakhs looks to score with a jab to the body but Dall is just out of range.
Dall half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Dall throws a left and a right that both miss
letting Mazcsakhs counter with a right hand.
A big left from Mazcsakhs misses.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Dall.
Good leg kick by Mazcsakhs there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dall on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Mazcsakhs motions for Dall to come forward. Mazcsakhs throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Dall throws a sloppy head kick and Mazcsakhs moves out of range easily.
Mazcsakhs slips a straight right by Dall.
Mazcsakhs lands a two punch combo.


It looks like Bastyn Dall has been cut.
Mazcsakhs throws an off balance right hand
and Dall counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Dall staying out of range there.
Mazcsakhs misses with a body punch
and Dall counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Mazcsakhs jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Mazcsakhs shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Mazcsakhs lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Dall keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Dall changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

Mazcsakhs misses with a wild body shot.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mazcsakhs misses with a low kick.
Mazcsakhs throws a low kick but Dall moves out of range easily.
Dall scores with the left hand. Mazcsakhs knows he should have avoided that one.
Mazcsakhs uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Dall.
Despite the aggression on Mazcsakhs's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Dall throws a body shot but no joy.
Mazcsakhs connects with a single shot there.
Kzszcziski Mazcsakhs is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Mazcsakhs scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Mazcsakhs throws an overhand right that lands on Dall's shoulder, as Dall tries to avoid the shot.
Mazcsakhs misses with a leg kick

and Dall counters with a single leg into guard. Mazcsakhs didn't expect that.

Mazcsakhs tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Dall passes Mazcsakhs's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Dall is looking to advance position but Mazcsakhs won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mazcsakhs wants to improve his position but Dall is controlling well.
Dall throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Mazcsakhs to regain full guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Dall tries to free his leg and advance position but Mazcsakhs is retaining full guard.
Mazcsakhs has Dall pulled in close to control his posture.
Mazcsakhs wants to stand but Dall is controlling the position.
Mazcsakhs is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Mazcsakhs keeping full guard, as Dall tries to pass.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Mazcsakhs smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Dall decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Dall is working for a kimura but Mazcsakhs is defending it quite comfortably.
Mazcsakhs keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Dall is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Mazcsakhs doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Dall.

Mazcsakhs looks like he's trying to stand up.

Dall is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Dall is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Dall prevents Mazcsakhs from improving his position.
Mazcsakhs won't allow Dall to pass to mount.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Mazcsakhs looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Dall works his way into side control.
Mazcsakhs is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Dall passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Mazcsakhs!
Mazcsakhs trying desperately to get to his feet.

Dall goes for an armbar but Mazcsakhs turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Mazcsakhs.

Dall has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Mazcsakhs has passed into side control.
Dall is letting Mazcsakhs control him for a moment.
Dall sneaks back into half guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Mazcsakhs trying to pass the guard but Dall defending well.

Dall looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Dall is looking for a sweep. Mazcsakhs is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Dall has a hand on Mazcsakhs's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Mazcsakhs takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Mazcsakhs controlling the position easily from mount.

A close second round but Kzszcziski Mazcsakhs will probably get the nod - 10:9.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Dall takes one on the button.
Dall takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Dall throws a sloppy head kick and Mazcsakhs moves out of range easily.
Dall tests Mazcsakhs's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Dall shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Mazcsakhs counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Mazcsakhs wants to slow Dall down by chopping away at his legs.
Mazcsakhs throws a hook but Dall avoids it easily.

Mazcsakhs looks to score with a jab to the body but Dall is just out of range.
Dall attempts a counter takedown but Mazcsakhs avoids it well and moves away.
Mazcsakhs slips under a jab.
A little jabbing left from Mazcsakhs on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
The fighters circle momentarily. Dall darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Mazcsakhs misses with a straight left.
Mazcsakhs blocks a head kick by Dall.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Mazcsakhs! But no joy.
Kzszcziski Mazcsakhs seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Mazcsakhs throws a leg kick

and Dall counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Mazcsakhs!

Dall is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Mazcsakhs knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Mazcsakhs holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage.
Bastyn Dall has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Mazcsakhs regains half guard.
Mazcsakhs trying to control but Dall postures up.

Dall seems to be looking for submissions.

Dall looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Dall is looking for a kimura but Mazcsakhs is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Dall to get the leverage.

Mazcsakhs is defending against the submission attempts here by Dall.
Dall stops Mazcsakhs from getting back to his feet.
Mazcsakhs has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Dall is working away from the top position though.

Dall seems to be working for a kimura but Mazcsakhs defends the submission attempt.
Mazcsakhs is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Dall moves nicely into side control.
Mazcsakhs is trying to get back to his feet.
Mazcsakhs is looking for a sweep.
Mazcsakhs prevents Dall from improving position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dall looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Dall thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

And that's the end of the fight!
Bastyn Dall showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Mazcsakhs has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
