Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Oliver Ramirez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lazar Nemirov! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Jorge Garcia and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ramirez fails with the takedown. Ramirez shoots in but Nemirov avoids the takedown attempt easily. Ramirez fails with the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Oliver Ramirez. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ramirez keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ramirez dips down and scores with a jab to the body. We've been told by Ramirez's head coaches at The Factory that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Ramirez looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nemirov just misses with a punch to the body.
Nemirov throws a hook but Ramirez blocks it. Ramirez half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Oliver Ramirez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ramirez closes the distance and clinches up with Nemirov, looking for a takedown. Ramirez pushes Nemirov against the cage but Nemirov circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Nemirov appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. No luck for Ramirez with that takedown attempt. Nemirov looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Ramirez keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Ramirez lands with an overhand left. A decent looking cross lands there for Ramirez. Nemirov bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Nemirov is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Nemirov stuffs the takedown attempt from Ramirez. Ramirez gets slowly back to his feet. Ramirez lunges at Nemirov with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Nemirov's hand. Ramirez takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Nemirov takes one on the button. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Ramirez tries to score a power double leg takedown but Nemirov sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ramirez somewhat. A left lands for Ramirez. Lazar Nemirov is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ramirez misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Nemirov stuns Ramirez with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Ramirez shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Nemirov but Nemirov pushes him off and we're back to square one. Nemirov throws a hook but Ramirez avoids it easily. Ramirez misses with a takedown attempt - Nemirov sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Ramirez looks for a takedown but Nemirov sprawls well. Ramirez throws a right and a left that both miss. Nemirov looks like he wants to counter punch here. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Ramirez fails with a takedown attempt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Oliver Ramirez will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Ramirez closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Nemirov wants to control the position but that's not easy when your opponent is in side control! Ramirez seems to be going for some sort of submission here. Hard to say what - oh, it's a Brabo choke! He's got it! Nemirov is tapping! Wow, great finish!
