Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Michal Duke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kawaki Inoshita (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Michal Duke!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kawaki Inoshita!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Sosuke Kotani and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Inoshita closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Duke quickly recovers to half guard.

Duke is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Inoshita pulls his head out easily.
Duke is trying to maintain the position but Inoshita is very close to passing his half guard.
Inoshita is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Duke is trying to stand back up but Inoshita is controlling him
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Inoshita with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Duke is trying is best to control the position here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Duke has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Inoshita is working away from the top position though.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Duke gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Inoshita looks winded!
Inoshita won't allow Duke to get back to his feet.
Inoshita engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Duke is pulling down on Inoshita's head. It's preventing any offense from Inoshita, at least for the moment.

Duke wants to get back to his feet but Inoshita passes into half guard.
Duke is trying to control but Inoshita passes into side control!

Duke is looking for a sweep.

Duke is pushing Inoshita's head away, looking to escape. Inoshita manages to hold on to the position though.
Duke misses with a strike from the bottom.
Inoshita controls the position.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Duke is trying to get back to his feet.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Inoshita darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Duke wants to get back to full guard.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Duke feints and as Inoshita raises his hands in defense, Duke changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Inoshita looking to hit a scissor sweep but Duke is one step ahead there.

Duke drops back, looking for a kneebar! Inoshita looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Inoshita looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Inoshita!

Duke wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Duke is looking to get back to his feet here but Inoshita is keeping cool and he's managed to take Duke's back.
Inoshita biding his time, looking for the opening.
Inoshita is breathing heavily.
Duke is trying to stand back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Duke is trying to break free.
Duke is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
Duke is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Inoshita is continuing to stall.
Kawaki Inoshita has got the better of the ground game so far.
Duke trying to get back to his feet but Inoshita is in full control for now.
Inoshita controls the action.

Inoshita has the hooks in. Duke is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Duke controlling his opponent's hands, preventing the submission attempt.
Duke is trying to stand back up.
Duke tries to break free.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
A bit of a pause in the action here. Inoshita controlling the positon.
Duke is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Let's hope that Inoshita has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Kawaki Inoshita showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!



Inoshita is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Duke's half guard.
Duke is trying to get back to full guard.
Duke is looking to escape.

Inoshita takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Inoshita seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Inoshita stops Duke from getting back to his feet.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Inoshita drives through with a takedown into Duke's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Duke pulls Inoshita in to control the position.

Inoshita tries to free his leg and advance position but Duke is retaining full guard.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Inoshita has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Duke is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Michal Duke is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Inoshita manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Duke on his heels. He'll look to pass Duke's guard now, I'm sure.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Inoshita has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Kawaki Inoshita comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Inoshita has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
