Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between St Petersburg Strangler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Tinto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tinto has chosen Shell Shocked as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, St Petersburg Strangler! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 9 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Daniel Tinto! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Steve Smith and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tinto fails to land the takedown. Strangler thinks about countering with a head kick. Strangler cracks Tinto with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Strangler pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Tinto back to the cage. Strangler follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
It looks like Daniel Tinto has been cut. Tinto misses with a takedown attempt - Strangler sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Strangler lands with a kick to the temple. Tinto shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Tinto shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Strangler defends it nicely. St Petersburg Strangler has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Daniel Tinto. Tinto throws a hook but Strangler blocks it. Strangler gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Strangler is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Tinto trying to control the position from guard on top but Strangler is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Strangler scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Strangler ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Tinto moves away. Nice body kick from Strangler. Tinto shoots in and drives through. Strangler sprawls well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tinto has a takedown stuffed. No luck with that takedown attempt from Tinto. Strangler swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Tinto with a lazy takedown attempt and Strangler counters with a stiff right hand. Strangler gets caught flat footed, as Tinto shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Strangler is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Tinto is controlling him. Strangler has his hands on Tinto's head, controlling the position. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Tinto not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Tinto is fighting to break Strangler's control of his arms but Strangler is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Strangler tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Strangler slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Tinto throws a hook but Strangler blocks it. Tinto shoots for a takedown but Strangler saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. As Tinto tries to get set, Strangler tries to push him back and clinch up but Tinto manages to avoid the attempt. Strangler scores with a body shot.
Tinto throws a jab but it's blocked by Strangler. Strangler throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Tinto on the side of the head. Tinto shoots in for a takedown but Strangler shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Strangler clinches up against the cage. Strangler stalling against the cage.

Strangler lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Strangler pushes Tinto back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Strangler breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Strangler counters with a nice body shot. Strangler scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Tinto misses with a takedown attempt enabling Strangler to counter with a crisp jab. Strangler misses with a head kick.
Strangler stuns Tinto with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Daniel Tinto seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Strangler lands a body shot.
Strangler is looking to wear down Tinto with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Nice shot by Strangler. St Petersburg Strangler is winning the standup battle so far. Strangler lands a jab to Tinto's midsection. Nice sprawl there from Strangler as Tinto shoots in. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Tinto has his takedown stuffed and Strangler counters with a stiff right hand. St Petersburg Strangler has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Daniel Tinto. Tinto misses with a left hand and Strangler counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Strangler pushes Tinto back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Strangler avoiding damage.

Tinto jumps guard but Strangler stands there with Tinto around his waist. Tinto gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Strangler's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Strangler is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Tinto can do to turn this around? Tinto takes a jab right on the kisser.
Strangler swings for the body but Tinto moves out of range.

Tinto takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

and Strangler counters with a straight right hand. Strangler leaves Tinto with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Strangler throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Tinto misses the jab. Tinto is trying hard to land a takedown here. Strangler sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Strangler instigates a clinch. Strangler effectively controlling the action here. Strangler digs a right hand underneath Tinto's ribcage. Tinto let out a lung full of air as it connected. Strangler breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Tinto closes this distance looking for a takedown but Strangler circles away. Tinto takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Tinto takes a shot right to the bread basket. Tinto shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Strangler counters with a straight right hand. Strangler keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Strangler lands with a hook. Tinto tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Tinto with a poor takedown and Strangler counters with an outside leg kick.
Tinto is breathing heavily. Tinto shoots in looking for a takedown but Strangler manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Tinto's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Strangler scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Strangler stuffs the takedown. Strangler connects with a right hand. Tinto shakes it off. Tinto takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Strangler slips a jab from Tinto. It appears Strangler was looking to counter with a kick there. St Petersburg Strangler is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Strangler fakes the leg kick and cracks Tinto in the body. Tinto takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Donk. Strangler catches Tinto right on the button with a cross. Strangler clobbers Tinto with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Strangler tries to close the distance and clinch but Tinto swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Strangler lands a body shot.
Strangler cracks Tinto with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Strangler lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Tinto is rocked! Today's fight clock is brought to you by... OOOH that's a huge shot by Strangler! Tinto is in big trouble here - the ref steps in to save him and this one is all over!

St Petersburg Strangler was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
