Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Kusal Perera (ranked 23797 p4p, 142 weight class) and Niklaus Heuler (ranked 8719 p4p, 271 weight class). Kusal Perera has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kusal Perera! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Niklaus Heuler! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Frank Dennis and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A telegraphed right hand from Heuler misses the target. Perera is looking to counter punch. Heuler throws a good cross that connects.
Heuler throws a body shot but no joy. Heuler throws a nice looking combination but Perera bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Heuler rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Perera moves out of range and avoids them all easily. An attempted straight right counter from Perera misses the target. Heuler pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Perera lands a really nice looking cross but Heuler seems unphased.
It looks like Niklaus Heuler has been cut. Perera throws a hook to the side of Heuler's head but Heuler sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. No joy there for Heuler, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Heuler connects with a good right hand that stumbles Perera. Perera circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Good exchange - Perera coming out on top. Heuler bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Perera has taken the fight to the clinch.

Perera throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Heulers head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Perera lands with a left to the head. I was talking to Perera's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Heuler lands with a right to the head. Heuler swings wildly with an uppercut but Perera uses good head movement to avoid it. Perera lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Perera presses Heuler against the ropes and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Heuler lands a shoulder strike. Perera softening up his opponent with strikes, against the ropes. A body shot lands from Perera.
Heuler looks winded! Perera working aggressively here.
Heuler blocks an uppercut.
Perera lands a right hand.
Heuler is rocked! Heuler tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Perera's elbow. Heuler is still on wobbly legs! Can Perera finish him? Perera working aggressively here.
Perera presses Heuler against the ropes and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Perera breaks from the clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Perera lands a slapping body shot.
Perera ducks down and throws a big overhand right - it lands flush on the jaw, knocking Heuler out cold! The fight is over!
