PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kamuf Larsen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bo Slither (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kamuf Larsen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Bo Slither! The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Matti Vanhoillinen and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Larsen lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
It looks like Bo Slither has been cut. Larsen fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Slither, pushing him back against the cage. Larsen gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Slither.
Larsen is pushing Slither up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Larsen prevents a takedown attempt there.
Larsen decides to pull guard. Slither thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Slither advances to half guard. Slither looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Larsen wants to control but Slither is keeping busy.
Slither is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Larsen flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Slither looking for a submission but Larsen manages to get full guard, putting an end to that submission attempt.
Larsen will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Slither passes Larsen's left leg - he's now in half guard. Larsen tries to roll over but Slither keeps him under control. Slither trying to mount his opponent but Larsen defends it. Slither is working for a kimura but Larsen is defending it quite comfortably.
Slither is working for a submission of some sort.
Slither looks gassed!
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Larsen is looking for a sweep. Slither is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Larsen is looking to control Slither's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Larsen avoid being mounted? The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Larsen wants to get back to full guard. Slither is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Larsen keeps control of the position for the meantime. Slither tries to pass to full mount but Larsen defends it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Larsen is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Larsen is working hard here to advance position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Larsen jabs at Slither's body. Slither shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Kamuf Larsen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bo Slither. Larsen scores with a takedown into Slither's guard. Larsen sitting in guard here, content to control. Slither keeping moving, preventing Larsen from controlling successfully. Larsen looking to pass the guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Slither had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Larsen is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Slither Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Larsen's back instead. Slither is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Larsen is defending well though. Slither let's go of the attempt for now. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Larsen tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Slither has control of Larsen's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Larsen regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Larsen throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Bo Slither will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Bo Slither's cut. That's time! Back to the action!
Larsen shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Slither's guard. Larsen is looking to stand up but Slither won't let him. Slither looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Larsen is defending well. Slither quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Larsen has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Slither celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
