Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Wamberto Boaz (ranked 5537 p4p, 260 weight class) and Mike Swift (ranked 4836 p4p, 235 weight class). Boaz comes to the cage accompanied by Preciso me encontrar. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boaz looks to score with a jab to the body but Swift is just out of range.
Swift throws a combination that misses
and Swift takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Boaz thuds a left hand into Swift 's body.
Boaz throws a push kick but Swift slaps the foot to one side.
Boaz scores with a nice strike.
Boaz scores with a crisp jab that stopped Swift in his tracks.
Boaz seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Boaz connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Swift throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Boaz counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Swift moves out of range as Boaz throws a body kick.
Boaz tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Swift is able to avoid easily.

Boaz clobbers Swift with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Swift avoids a kick to the body.
Boaz lands with a shot to the body.
A left lands for Boaz.
Boaz goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Boaz lunges at Swift with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Swift 's hand.
Boaz punishes Swift 's body with a nice straight punch.

and Boaz counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Swift looks to land a combination. Boaz sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Boaz cracks Swift with a right hand to the side of the head.
Swift has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Boaz finds it's way round the side to connect with Swift 's head.
Mike Swift is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Boaz scores with a jab to the body.

Swift is wriggling around but Boaz manages to pass to half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Boaz seems to be working for a kimura but Swift defends the submission attempt.
We've been informed that Swift has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
