The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
OBrien moves in looking to clinch but Polls pushes him off.
A combination from OBrien does no damage.
Polls tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but OBrien was well out of range. Poor timing from Polls.
OBrien shoots in but Polls avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Polls.
Polls tries to move into full mount but can't pass OBrien's legs.

Polls working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
OBrien prevents Polls from moving into mount.
OBrien wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land.

Polls thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Polls drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but OBrien manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Polls has OBrien in his guard.
Polls manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. OBrien manages to get himself to full guard.

Polls swings around for an armbar but OBrien sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Polls's guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

OBrien stands and throws Polls's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

OBrien is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Polls looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! OBrien has picked Polls up and slammed him! Polls can't keep hold of the triangle and OBrien manages to pass to side control!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Polls, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
