The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Alyssa Summers and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hale connects with the punch.
Hale shoots in for a takedown but Taylor shows good takedown defense.
Taylor now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Taylor shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Taylor showed some decent athleticism there.
Hale is trying to control but can't.
Taylor is taking a breather. Hale says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Taylor decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Taylor wants to clinch up but Hale keeps it at a distance.
Hale plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hale misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Taylor looking to score a takedown here. Hale is defending well but Taylor drives through and ends up in Hale's guard.
Hale uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Taylor leaves Hale with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Hale takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Taylor's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
