Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Aharon Sarkisyan (ranked 132 p4p, 21 weight class) and Vladimir Emelienko (ranked 159 p4p, 25 weight class). Sarkisyan comes into the arena with Ara Gevorgyan - Artsakh blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sarkisyan tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Emelienko wants to land a leg kick but Sarkisyan is out of range.
Sarkisyan tries to counter by clinching up but Emelienko breaks away and moves out of range.
Sarkisyan doesn't manage to clinch there - Emelienko circles away.
Emelienko connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Sarkisyan momentarily.
Emelienko avoids the head kick by Sarkisyan.
Sarkisyan throws a big shot that misses.
Emelienko connects with a single shot there.
It looks like Aharon Sarkisyan has been cut.
Aharon Sarkisyan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sarkisyan lands with a thumping leg kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sarkisyan tries to clinch but Emelienko is having none of it.
Emelienko lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Sarkisyan is rocked!
Emelienko walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Sarkisyan drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Emelienko swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Sarkisyan's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Vladimir Emelienko!
In his post fight interview, Vladimir Emelienko started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
