Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chris Christensen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josef Mengele (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mengele dodges the punch combination from Christensen.
Christensen moves in looking to clinch but Mengele pushes him off. Christensen thows a body shot but no joy. Mengele is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Christensen doesn't manage to clinch there - Mengele circles away.
Christensen looks to land a left hand but Mengele moved out of range nicely. Christensen will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Mengele manages to pull guard.
Mengele is controlling Christensen's posture. Mengele wants to sweep here but Christensen controlling him for the moment. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Christensen being controlled here momentarily. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mengele is trying to keep Christensen in close.
That's one minute gone in the round. Christensen stays in close to Mengele's body and controls the position. Christensen is fighting to break Mengele's control of his arms but Mengele is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Christensen might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Christensen would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Mengele escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Christensen gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Christensen knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mengele on the ground. Mengele has a closed guard, preventing Christensen from standing up. Mengele has his feet on Christensen's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Christensen shoots in but no luck this time. Mengele shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Christensen but Christensen pushes him off and we're back to square one. Christensen throws a head kick but Mengele moves out of range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mengele slips a straight right by Christensen. Christensen throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Chris Christensen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Christensen is looking to slow Mengele down with leg kicks. Nice sprawl there from Mengele as Christensen shoots in. Christensen is breathing heavily. Mengele decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Christensen looks like he's trying to stand up.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Mengele is taking a breather. Christensen says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Mengele stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Mengele moves out of range as Christensen strikes. Mengele throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Mengele throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Christensen's waist but Christensen gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mengele off to one side. A slow jab from Christensen misses its intended target. Christensen looks for a takedown but Mengele sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chris Christensen. That's going to take a lot out of him. Mengele fails with the takedown. Christensen swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Josef Mengele dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Mengele misses with a takedown attempt and Christensen counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Christensen is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Christensen's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems. Christensen will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Christensen doesn't succeed with the takedown and Mengele counters by moving into the clinch. Christensen tries for a takedown. No joy.

Mengele lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Christensen! Mengele is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Christensen can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Mengele really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Christensen. Mengele punches the canvas rather than the man. Christensen holding both Mengele 's hands and preventing any damage. Mengele looking for the choke from the back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Christensen is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Mengele misses with an elbow to the head. Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Mengele.

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Mengele cracks Christensen with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Christensen from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Mengele lands shots from the back. Mengele throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Christensen!
Christensen has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke. Mengele biding his time, controlling Christensen. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Josef Mengele showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Mengele scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Mengele thumps Christensen with a low kick. Mengele tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Christensen swivels and escapes. Christensen with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Mengele won't allow Christensen to get back to his feet. Mengele passes easily into side control. Nice work. Mengele trying to control the action but Christensen is working from the bottom. Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Mengele connects with a body shot. Mengele shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Mengele was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Christensen wants to try and get back to his feet. Mengele looking to control but Christensen is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Mengele is standing up, even though he is in mount. Christensen throws a left and a right that both miss
and Mengele counters with a nice double leg into side control. Christensen won't be happy with that. Mengele wants to control but Christensen is keeping him busy. Christensen is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Mengele is controlling him well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mengele is looking to take a break and control but Christensen is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Christensen bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! A head kick misses from Christensen. Mengele looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Mengele is standing up over Christensen. Christensen looks to escape but Mengele dives into side control.
Mengele is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Chris Christensen has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Josef Mengele is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
And that's the end of the fight! Josef Mengele comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Mengele has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
