And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ron Honeybunn, Winston Howard and Francis DeMontford.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ridges shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Bassi is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Bassi is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Bassi looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bassi is looking for a sweep. Ridges is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Ridges decides to stand and escape the position.
Bassi gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Bassi keeping full guard, as Ridges tries to pass.
Bassi wants to control but Ridges passes easily into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ridges trying to control from Bassi's half guard. Bassi has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Ridges content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Bassi has locked up a guillotine! Bassi's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Ridges is holding on here and Bassi must be using up a lot of energy. Ridges has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Bassi gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
