The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slapping body kick lands there for Van Laere.
Van Laere has a takedown stuffed.
Drake lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Drake tries to clinch there but Van Laere circles away.
Drake keeps the fight on the outside.
Van Laere misses with a double jab.
Drake misses with a double jab.
Van Laere circles away from the clinch attempt
and Van Laere counters with a head kick.
Van Laere throws a combination that misses
and Drake counters with a one-two to the body.
Drake darts in trying to clinch
and Van Laere counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
