Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cesar Reyes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matty Kilt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Cesar Reyes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Matty Kilt!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Alec Ball and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kilt pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kilt misses with a hook
enabling Reyes to counter with a crisp jab.

Kilt closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kilt lands in his opponent's guard.
Kilt trying to stand up but can't free himself from Reyes's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Reyes controls Kilt momentarily but Kilt frees himself.

Reyes is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kilt is aware though and is defending well.
Reyes looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kilt is one step ahead there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kilt trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Reyes looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Kilt passes into side control.
Reyes can't do much from the bottom here.

Reyes is looking for a sweep.
Reyes wants to control but Kilt postures up.
Reyes is trying to work for a sweep but Kilt has mounted him!

Reyes tries to lock up and control but Kilt gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Reyes is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Kilt is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Reyes swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
Reyes is squirming around, avoiding Kilt's attempts to control the action.

Reyes is trying desperately to improve position.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Reyes sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Reyes keeps control of the position for the meantime.

Kilt wants to control from the top but Reyes keeps moving.

Kilt got a little sloppy there for a moment and Reyes has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kilt has managed to get both his arms back between Reyes's legs - danger averted.

Kilt stands up over Reyes, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Kilt is trying to get an arm triangle but Reyes is defending well.

Reyes shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kilt pinned against the cage. Kilt gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Kilt drives through with a takedown into Reyes's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Reyes is on top in guard.

Matty Kilt has got the better of the ground game so far.
Reyes is looking to work some ground and pound but Kilt has wrist control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kilt not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Kilt preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Kilt controls Reyes momentarily but Reyes frees himself.
Kilt is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Kilt has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Reyes has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Reyes tries to pull guard but Kilt holds him up against the cage and eventually Reyes drops back down to his feet.

Reyes breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Kilt closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kilt lands in his opponent's guard.

Reyes has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Kilt is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Kilt is trying to trip Reyes. He has hold of a leg but Reyes is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Kilt persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Kilt is breathing heavily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Reyes has his foot on Kilt's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kilt works his way back into a safe position though.
Reyes is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Reyes lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Kilt has momentary wrist control but Reyes slips an elbow through the middle.

Kilt manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Reyes manages to get himself to full guard.

Reyes working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kilt doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kilt manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Reyes is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Reyes can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Kilt controls the pace.
Kilt's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Kilt wants to stand but Reyes has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

A close second round but Matty Kilt will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!



Kilt closes the distance and pushes Reyes back into the cage.

Kilt has picked Reyes up - he's going for a ride! Kilt dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Kilt avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Kilt stands and steps away. Reyes gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Kilt misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Sloppy strikes from Kilt. Those never looked like landing.
Matty Kilt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kilt takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Kilt swings and misses with a hook to the body.
As Kilt looks to move away, Reyes throws a big counter combo but Kilt just gets out of the way.
Kilt defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Reyes.
Kilt tries to counter with a clinch but Reyes shakes him off and moves away.

Reyes has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Kilt is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Reyes.

Kilt wants to control but Reyes is keeping him busy.

Kilt is looking for a triangle but Reyes pushes his legs off easily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Reyes connects with a couple of short punches.
Reyes is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Reyes distracts Kilt with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Reyes won't allow Kilt to get back to his feet.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Matty Kilt is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Well Kilt has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
