Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Willy Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chavez Mendez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chavez Mendez is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Willy Anderson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Chavez Mendez! The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Dmitry Maklakov and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mendez has managed to clinch.
Anderson will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Mendez up against the cage. Anderson misses with a punch to the body.
Anderson manages to pull guard.
Mendez seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Mendez tries to stand but Anderson is controlling from the bottom. Anderson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Mendez scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Anderson shoots in for a takedown but Mendez shows good takedown defense. Mendez misses with a takedown attempt - Anderson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Mendez misses with a jab, cross combination.
Mendez closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Anderson quickly recovers to half guard. Anderson is trying to stand.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Mendez works his foot free and advances to mount. Mendez looking to control but Anderson is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Mendez tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Anderson is looking to get to half guard. Mendez punishing his opponent with strikes. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Anderson is bucking up trying to escape but Mendez cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Mendez in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Anderson is squirming around, avoiding Mendez's attempts to control the action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mendez changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Anderson tries to avoid it but Mendez manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Anderson to the ground. Anderson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. A head kick misses from Mendez. As Mendez tries to get set, Anderson tries to push him back and clinch up but Mendez manages to avoid the attempt. Mendez misses with a body shot.

Willy Anderson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chavez Mendez. Anderson has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Mendez after a bit of a struggle. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Anderson has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Mendez regains guard immediately. Anderson preventing the sweep.
That's one minute gone in the round. Anderson throws a big elbow that misses. Mendez looking to hit a scissor sweep but Anderson is one step ahead there. Anderson content to stall in guard here. Mendez tries to strike from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Anderson wants to get up but he can't break Mendez's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Mendez fails with the takedown. Mendez shoots in and gets a takedown into Anderson's guard. Mendez is breathing heavily. Anderson pushes Mendez off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. No luck for Anderson with that takedown attempt. Anderson looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Mendez!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mendez tries to buck Anderson off but Anderson is having none of it. Mendez wants to get back to his feet. Anderson laying and praying for a moment but Mendez takes advantage and regains half guard. Mendez is trying to get back to full guard. Anderson missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Mendez missing with punches from the bottom.
Mendez works his way to full guard. Good work. Anderson not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Anderson stops Mendez from standing up. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Mendez is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Willy Anderson will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Mendez gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Anderson to score an easy takedown into full guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Mendez throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Anderson would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Anderson postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mendez pushes Anderson off and gets back to his feet.
Willy Anderson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Mendez dives in for a single leg takedown but Anderson sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Anderson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Mendez manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Mendez fails to land the takedown. Anderson fails with an attempt to clinch.

Mendez shoots in looking for a takedown but Anderson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Mendez's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Anderson is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Mendez. Willy Anderson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now.
