Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Royal Vinson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Soulemayne Djengoue! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Frank Dennis and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Djengoue bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Vinson explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! Vinson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Djengoue connects with a good right hand that stumbles Vinson. Vinson circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
It looks like Royal Vinson has been cut. Vinson closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Djengoue's guard. Djengoue is wriggling around but Vinson manages to pass to half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Vinson not doing much here.

That's one minute gone in the round. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Vinson in particular looking to stall. Djengoue taking some punishment here, with Vinson in his half guard. Vinson blocks the strikes from Djengoue.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Vinson stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Djengoue to get to his feet. Djengoue tries to close the distance and clinch up but Vinson swats him away and circles back towards the center. Vinson drives through with a takedown into Djengoue's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Djengoue manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Djengoue has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Djengoue there as he acknowledges the shot. Vinson takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Djengoue looks winded! Djengoue misses with a two punch combination.
Vinson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Djengoue looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vinson moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Vinson decides to take the fight back to the feet. Djengoue throws a combination that misses and Vinson counters with a low kick, right behind Djengoue 's knee. Djengoue showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Vinson.
Vinson is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Djengoue's half guard. Vinson wants to work for an arm triangle but Djengoue is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The referee calls for the fighters to work.

A head kick misses from Vinson. Djengoue sends Vinson crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Djengoue is motioning to the referee to let Vinson up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Vinson is rocked! Djengoue closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks Vinson out cold! Vinson corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:14 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Soulemayne Djengoue!
