27 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shane Ripgut! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mawzer VaraKolaudov! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Ren Mimura and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling eachother endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive. VaraKolaudov's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and VaraKolaudov duly obliges. Ripgut looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. VaraKolaudov throws a sloppy head kick and Ripgut counters with a left to the body. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. VaraKolaudov tries to close the distance and clinch but Ripgut swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Ripgut swats away the attempt to clinch by VaraKolaudov. Ripgut looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.

VaraKolaudov got an extra few seconds to recover there, which could have made all the differences as he stumbles back to his feet. The referee looks into his eyes and decides to allow the bout to continue. Can he survive?!
