Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Ichi Takeshi (ranked 4381 p4p, 88 weight class) and Ron Hall (ranked 23054 p4p, 217 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ron Hall!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Sosuke Kotani and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takeshi swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Hall tries to clinch but Takeshi moves out of range.
Takeshi misses with a body shot.
Takeshi sets himself, and Hall steps forward looking for the clinch! Takeshi avoids it this time.
Hall ducks right into an uppercut from Takeshi.
Hall wants to clinch up but Takeshi keeps it at a distance.
Takeshi lands a head shot.
Takeshi has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Cozad MMA Tokyo in the buildup to the fight.

Hall has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Takeshi seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Hall can turn it around.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Hall drops Takeshi on his ass with a big knee up the middle! Takeshi bounces straight back to his feet before the referee can even start a count. We'll have to wait a moment to see if that actually hurt him or not, as he takes the standing 8 count.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Takeshi is trying to maintain a safe position but Hall gets an underhook and turns Takeshi into the ropes.

Takeshi will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Hall up against the ropes.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Takeshi cracks Hall with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Hall tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Takeshi paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Takeshi lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Hall backwards.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hall looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Hall misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Ron Hall seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.
Takeshi lands a nice uppercut.
Takeshi manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Takeshi lands with a right to the head.
Hall is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Takeshi is defending well for now.

With the fighters clinched against the ropes, Takeshi creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

With the two fighters working up against the ropes, Hall just misses with a elbow thrown towards Takeshi's brow.
Takeshi tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Takeshi digs a right hand underneath Hall's ribcage. Hall let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Takeshi is trying to stall.
Takeshi digs a right hand into Hall's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Hall's gas tank.

Hall struggles to land a body shot inside as Takeshi controls his hands.

Hall cracks Takeshi with a big elbow, right in the eye socket! Takeshi drops to his knees in obvious pain! The referee starts the count but it's plainly obvious that Takeshi isn't going to get back to his feet. The referee counts none the less and Hall struts around the mat, safe in the knowledge that this one is over. A big win for Hall!
