Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Olexandr Borodach (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Boon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Olexandr Borodach! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 1, fighting out of The Island, John Boon! The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Michael Johnstone and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Borodach gets in close and instigates a clinch. Borodach breaks the clinch.
Borodach misses with a takedown and Boon counters with a series of strikes. Borodach will be more careful next time no doubt. Boon swinging wildly here.
Borodach shoots in looking for a takedown but Boon manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Borodach's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Borodach shoots in but Boon avoids the takedown attempt easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Olexandr Borodach. That's going to take a lot out of him. Boon rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Borodach moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Borodach tries a head kick but it misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Borodach uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Boon.
It looked like Borodach was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Boon. Boon displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Borodach. Borodach has a takedown stuffed.

A punch combination from Boon misses. Boon looks to land a combination. Borodach sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Boon looks winded! Boon throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Borodach. Boon lands with a shot to the body. Borodach seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Borodach slips a jab and a cross from Boon.
As Boon tries to get set, Borodach tries to push him back and clinch up but Boon manages to avoid the attempt. Borodach lands with a kick to the temple. Boon shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Boon takes a kick to the side of the head. Boon displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Borodach. Horrible takedown attempt by Borodach or perhaps it was just good defense by Boon, which made it look bad.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Borodach shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Boon but Boon pushes him off and we're back to square one. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Borodach tries to clinch up but Boon circles away and keeps his distance. Boon steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Borodach. Borodach shoots for a takedown but Boon saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Boon looks to land a combination. Borodach sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Boon fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
No joy there for Boon, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Boon throws a big shot that misses. Borodach showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Boon.
Boon tries to keep at a distance but Borodach has taken the fight into the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Boon wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Boon prevents a takedown attempt there.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Borodach tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Boon manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Borodach shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Boon sprawls well. Boon wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Borodach gets slowly back to his feet. Borodach fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Boon, pushing him back against the cage. Boon is trying to break free. Borodach is trying to pull guard but Boon turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Borodach tries to pull guard but Boon forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Boon blocks a body shot from Borodach. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Boon dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Boon throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Borodach went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Horrible takedown attempt by Borodach or perhaps it was just good defense by Boon, which made it look bad. Boon throws a right hand that Borodach ducks under and follows up with a left that Borodach also avoids with ease. Borodach attempts a counter takedown but Boon avoids it well and moves away. John Boon seems to be getting the better of the standup. Borodach misses with a straight left. Borodach tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Boon manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Boon misses with a jab, cross combination.
Borodach closes this distance looking for a takedown but Boon circles away. Boon has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Boon looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Despite the aggression on Boon's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

And Boon tries to counter it with a takedown but Borodach pushes his down on his head and steps out. Boon misses with a wild combination.

Borodach moves out of range as Boon strikes. Boon looks to land a combination but Borodach avoids it well. It looked like Borodach was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Borodach scores with a sloppy right hand. Boon should have avoided that one. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Borodach throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Boon's waist but Boon gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Borodach off to one side.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Borodach has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Boon finds it's way round the side to connect with Borodach's head. We've been informed that Boon has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Borodach will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Borodach dives in for a single leg takedown but Boon sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Borodach moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Borodach tries to clinch but Boon moves out of range. A telegraphed right hand from Boon misses the target. Borodach is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Boon. Borodach shoots in for a takedown but Boon shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Sloppy strikes from Boon. Those never looked like landing. John Boon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Boon keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Boon feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Borodachs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

John Boon showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Borodach moves to clinch but Boon breaks away and Boon counters with a left and a right that stings Borodach. Borodach shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Boon as he jumps to the side. Borodach with a lazy takedown attempt enabling Boon to counter with a crisp jab. Boon misses with a combination
and Borodach counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Boon stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Boon wants it to stay on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Olexandr Borodach. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Borodach pushes Boon up against the cage in a clinch. Borodach manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Boon seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Boon is continuing to stall.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Borodach looking to hit a scissor sweep but Boon is one step ahead there. Boon trying to control the position from guard on top but Borodach is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Borodach pulls Boon in close to prevent any damage. Boon prevents Borodach from getting back to his feet. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Boon throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Boon leaves Borodach with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Boon misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
A combination from Boon does no damage. Olexandr Borodach is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Boon swats away the attempt to clinch by Borodach. John Boon is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Borodach fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Boon, pushing him back against the cage. Borodach wants to take the fight to the mat but Boon manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Borodach drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Boon gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Boon is pressed up against the cage. Borodach has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Boon down to the mat. Boon avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Olexandr Borodach has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Borodach goes for a double leg but Boon avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Boon continues to drive forward. Boon throws a series of punches but Borodach moves out of range. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Boon misses with a jab, cross combination.
Boon lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Borodach backs up against the cage.
And that's the end of the fight! John Boon comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Boon winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
