0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Laine Donnelly! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Shigeki Sano and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Donnelly misses with a double jab.
Donnelly looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Jefferson drops down looking for a counter takedown but Donnelly sprawls and moves away. Jefferson uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Donnelly throws a leg kick and Jefferson counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Jefferson landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Jefferson is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Donnelly has managed to free his arm - good work. Jefferson throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jefferson wants to control but Donnelly is keeping him busy. Jefferson keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Donnelly holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Jefferson not doing much here.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Donnelly misses with a takedown attempt - Jefferson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Donnelly fails with the takedown. Jefferson throwing a counter right hand but Donnelly manages to avoid it. Donnelly takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Jefferson throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Donnelly tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Jefferson is in Donnelly's guard. Jefferson stands up from guard. Let's bang! Donnelly misses with an uppercut. Donnelly throws a leg kick and Jefferson counters with a nice uppercut. Jefferson misses with a straight left. Donnelly tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Jefferson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

And that's the end of the fight! Kirby Jefferson showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Jefferson, winning every round. Will the judges agree?
