Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Edmond Moore (ranked 25008 p4p, 675 weight class) and Tahgi Assad (ranked 9481 p4p, 603 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Edmond Moore! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tahgi Assad! The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Roger Salmon and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Assad scores with a hook. Moore moves into the clinch successfully.
Moore is trying to pull guard but Assad turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Moore manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Assad trying to move into half guard but instead Moore has managed to sweep! Assad is trying to keep Moore in close.
Assad throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Assad wants to hit a switch here but Moore passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Assad there! Assad tries to hold on but Moore pushes him away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Assad really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Moore lands with some strikes. Moore can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Assad is looking to escape.
That's one minute gone in the round. Assad tries to lock up and control but Moore gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Moore throwing strikes here but Assad is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Assad struggling a bit here. Assad manages to work his way to half guard, despite Moore's best efforts. Moore not landing any meaningful shots this time. Moore moves nicely into side control. Moore throwing shots but missing, from side control. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Moore thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Moore goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Assad rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Moore's guard! Nice work there by Assad! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Assad wants to control from the top but Moore keeps moving. Assad slips nicely into half guard. Moore is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at The Zoo, so we'll see if he gets out of it. Moore has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Moore is looking to improve his position.
Assad misses with a head shot. Moore uses the momentum to regain guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Assad looking to sit in guard and control but Moore gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Assad looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Assad had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Moore defends it easily. We've been informed that Assad has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Moore with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Moore trying to control the position from guard on top but Assad is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Moore showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Moore stands and throws Assad's legs to the side, diving into side control. Moore is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Assad is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Assad is looking for a sweep. Moore misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Assad tries to get back to half guard but can't. Assad is trying to control Moore's posture but Moore avoids it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Moore trying to control the position but Assad is working away. Moore tries for a kimura but Assad is defending well. Moore is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Assad is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Moore wants to lay and pray for a moment but Assad keeps working. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Moore tries to move to mount but Assad blocks the move with his legs. Moore tries for a kimura but Assad is defending well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Edmond Moore dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Is there anything that Assad can do to turn this around? Moore trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Edmond Moore overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Moore trying to control the position from guard on top but Assad is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Moore stopping the sweep attempt from Assad. Moore tries to free his leg and advance position but Assad is retaining full guard. Assad not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Moore throwing strikes from guard but Assad blocks nicely.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Assad throws a lazy right hand but Moore sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Assad scores with a jab. A punch lands to the side of Moore 's head but he takes it in his stride. Tahgi Assad is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Assad throws a right hand that Moore ducks under and follows up with a left that Moore also avoids with ease. Moore half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Assad is really turning it up, unleashing another crisp combination which drops Moore like a ton of bricks! The referee dives in to stop the fight, saving Moore from another fist facial!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:41 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tahgi Assad!
