PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Eusebio Zapata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Hanson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hanson comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Seven Nation Army kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zapata lands a glancing blow to the side of Hanson's head.
Hanson drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
A jab from Zapata does it's job there.
Zapata fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hanson manages to avoid it.
Zapata definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Hanson goes for a double leg but Zapata avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Zapata continues to drive forward.
Zapata lands a glancing blow to the side of Hanson's head.
Zapata bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Hanson's head backwards.
Zapata misses with an uppercut. Hanson saw that one coming.

Zapata cracks Hanson with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Zapata has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Hanson to stand back up!

Hanson is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Zapata ducks down and throws a big overhand right - it lands flush on the jaw, knocking Hanson out cold! The fight is over!

After winning the bout, Eusebio Zapata thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
