Coming up we have a bantamweight kickboxing rules bout between Jakub Nazoruk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mick Speed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jakub Nazoruk! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mick Speed! The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Santiago Holmes and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nazoruk is looking to clinch but Speed is avoiding it.
Speed missing with a left hand there. Nazoruk was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Nazoruk looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Nazoruk tries to clinch up but Speed circles away and keeps his distance. Speed paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Good leg kick by Nazoruk there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Speed scores with a jab. Nazoruk acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Speed slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Mick Speed seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nazoruk tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Speed manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Speed lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Nice jab there from Speed. Nazoruk tries to close the distance and clinch up but Speed swats him away and circles back towards the center. Left hook, right uppercut from Speed. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Speed throws a jab but it's blocked by Nazoruk. Nazoruk misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Speed is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Speed takes a swing at Nazoruk's ribcage but misses. Nazoruk takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Speed tries to bum rush Nazoruk with a series of wild strikes but Nazoruk uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Speed has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Nazoruk. Speed lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Nazoruk backs up against the ropes.
Nazoruk has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Speed finds it's way round the side to connect with Nazoruk's head.
Nazoruk is rocked! Speed pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nazoruk fails in his attempt to clinch. Nazoruk takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
A big left from Speed misses. Nazoruk scores with a jab to the body. Nazoruk swinging wildly here.
A nice side step and Speed releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Speed with a hook. Speed dodges the punch combination from Nazoruk.
Nazoruk misses with an attempted mid kick.
Nazoruk throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Speed cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Nazoruk moves out of range of the strikes. Speed staggers Nazoruk with a jab and knocks him down with a follow up straight! Nazoruk looks in trouble, will he beat the count?! The count has reached 5 and he's only back to 1 knee - it's going to be close! 6,7,8 - he's up! Just in time and the ref is going to let the fight continue! Oh Nazoruk is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A right-left combo lands from Nazoruk. Nazoruk seems to have got his legs back now. Speed's corner calls for a 1-2. Speed obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Speed lands the left hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nazoruk is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Nazoruk throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Mick Speed is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Nazoruk ducks under a wild hook from Speed. Nazoruk has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Speed finds it's way round the side to connect with Nazoruk's head. Speed closes the distance and scores with a big combo that sends Nazoruk crashing to the mat! Nazoruk uses the ropes to get back to his feet and beat the count. The referee looks concerned but he's going to allow it to continue! Speed has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Nazoruk throws a body kick that misses. Speed lands a right and a left and another right! Nazoruk goes down! Oh, he's in big, big trouble! 3,4,5,6,7,8... he's up to one knee... 9,10! He can't beat the count - this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Mick Speed! Mick Speed retains his bantamweight title!
