Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Iso Susi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leka Luu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leka Luu told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Iso Susi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Arvi Lind and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Susi tries to close the distance and clinch up but Luu swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Susi shoots in for a takedown but Luu shows good takedown defense.
Susi throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Luu's waist but Luu gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Susi off to one side.
Luu works Susi's body with a nice hook.
Luu tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Susi scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Susi is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Luu is just riding it out for now. Susi eventually gives up the hold.

Susi breaks from Luu's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Luu tries to reverse the position but Susi maintains control.
Susi with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Luu really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Susi. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Luu ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Susi moves away.

Susi chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Luu can pounce on him.
Susi shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Luu's guard.
Susi has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Luu wants to sweep but no luck.
Susi wants to control from the top but Luu keeps moving.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Susi here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Susi goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Luu rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Susi's guard! Nice work there by Luu!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Susi moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Luu has worked his arm free - good work by Luu!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Luu takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Susi works to advance to full mount. Luu defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Luu takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Susi goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Luu turns into him and now he's in Susi's guard.

Susi feints and as Luu raises his hands in defense, Susi changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Luu parries the strikes from Susi easily there. Susi is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Luu to escape.
Susi looks up at the clock and then as Luu takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Susi smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Susi tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Leka Luu has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Luu takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Susi, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
